Museum of Illusions: The Toronto-based museum has picture-worthy exhibits such as the anti-gravity room, rotating room, Ames room, and the mind-boggling holograms, all being educational. Scotiabank Arena Series: Toronto Marlies vs Belleville Senators: The Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate takes on Ottawa's in a regular season game at the Scotiabank Arena. Winter Stations 2019: Winter Stations return to the Beach, featuring six unique art installations. Love Letters from the Past: Courtship, companionship, and family in the Ukrainian Canadian Community. Divas Speaker Series: The Gender Spectrum in Sports: Beyond the Binary: The discussion around trans, non-binary and fluid athletes is nearing its fever pitch within the sports sphere. Writing with Colour: Author Talk with Uzma Jalaluddin: Come join Toronto author Uzma Jalaluddin as she shares her writing journey as a South Asian Muslim-Canadian woman and the role of diversity in fiction. Women on Screen: Out Loud Wrap Party/Podcast Panel: Women on Screen has invited some of Toronto's top female-identifying, entertainment focused podcast hosts, discussing their unique takes on our industry and what it means for them to build a successful podcast. Engineering March Break Fun at the CN Tower: Activities designed by the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, in celebration of March as National Engineering Month. Canadian Ballet Masterclass Series with Chan Hon Goh: Director of the Goh Ballet and former Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Canada Chan Hon Goh is heading across Canada for her sixth annual Canadian Masterclass Series. Myseum Intersections: Museum II: An immersive experience that uses architecture and design to examine trauma from war and conflict, through shared experiences across Toronto's immigrant and refugee communities. TUESDAY, MARCH 12 2019 Toronto Storytelling Festival Presented by Storytelling Toronto, this is one of the world’s largest and oldest urban storytelling celebrations, and has been a major force in the international renaissance of storytelling. ALSO ON TUESDAY Pure Data - Music Meets Code: This March Break, join Arts Etobicoke to use an open source, object-oriented software called Pure Data to create beats while learning how to code. Hot Breath Karaoke at The Handlebar: Ridiculous game show style karaoke, with prizes. Build the Finch West LRT: Using recycled materials, kids will learn how to build a train, LRT track and bridge. The 26 Letter Dance: Created, directed and co-choreographed by Hélène Langevin, co-choreographed by Jean-François Légaré, produced by Bouge de là. This inventive, interactive show inspires kids to dance to the beat of their own drum. Babysitting Course by Canadian Red Cross: This Babysitting class is for students 11-15 years of age who want to learn how to safely babysit infants and young children. Skating at Samuel Smith Park: The rink is an outdoor figure-eight shape trail that is 250 metres long. The skating trail is located next to the Power House Recreation Centre. Centennial Park Ski and Snowboard Season: You can also ski in Etobicoke. Skating at Nathan Phillips Square: Skate at Toronto's favourite ice rink in front of city hall daily until the middle of March. Winter Light Exhibition: The Winter Light Exhibition has creators utilizing Mother Nature's brisk wind, extreme temperature and intricate ice sculptures into an art exhibit. On until March 17. Being Scene Exhibition 2019: A sweeping exhibition of over 100 artworks by 60+ artists that give shape to compelling ideas and narratives from the sublime to the absurd to the fearless. 'Our Sacred Planet' Exhibition by William Brisland: This exhibition features watercolour scenes of the Canadian Maritimes, American East Coast, and the historic county of Fife Scotland. Runs until March 28. The Breadth of Distance: These seven artists' works shift across geographies, cultural perspectives, and time. Considering grief, longing, care and resilience, they articulate how relationships to place, representation, and belief shape who we are. Runs until April 5. Forgotten Genius: This exhibit is devoted to the story of Philo T. Farnsworth (1906-1971), the man who revolutionized television and changed the future of communications on earth.
